Project Introduction
The objective of the project was to Design, Procure, and carry out the building construction Testing & Commissioning of a standby power plant in Jubail Commercial Port with a power capacity of 7.5MVA, in the first stage, which is expandable in the near future to 22.5MVA. The Turnkey project contains division into 3 major items:
- Civil work which includes site preparation and design & construction of the following buildings:
- Administration Building
- Powerhouse to accommodate the diesel engine units.
- Electrical building to accommodate operation & control room,13.8kV switchgear room, auxiliary transformers room, DC system room, workshop, and maintenance room.
- Pumps room
- Guardhouse
- Mechanical work which will include the requirements for the installation of the diesel engine units along with associated sub-systems such as: fuel system, lube oil system, cooling system, and other systems such as fire fighting system, sewage & drainage system, water supply system ventilation, and air conditioning system.
- Electrical works includes the requirements of the installation of medium voltage switchgear, low voltage system, the direct current system, lighting system, lighting system, earthing & grounding
